Disabling email download on startup

IncrediMail, attractive though it may be, can appear for some, at least to suffer from a certain amount of who knows what kind of complex: it copies your email settings from Outlook Express (including passwords) launches itself as soon as Windows starts and then starts downloading all the mail, too.

This feature may be useful for regular email user who wish to check there mail in first priority but some home users may prefer browse webpages first where this process reduces speed. IncrediMail's default settings can be changed.

Prevent IncrediMail from Checking Mail When You Launch It

To tell IncrediMail not to check for new mail the moment you launch it:
  •     Select Tools | Options... from the menu in IncrediMail.
  •     Go to the General tab.
  •     Make sure Check for new mail when opening IncrediMail is not checked.
  •     Click OK.
These steps can be followed for IncrediMail installed in Windows XP, 2000, 98 etc
