In IncrediMail, shy of hiding the preview pane altogether, you can disable all scripts from being run by just reading a mail in the preview pane. Scripts in emails are never essential and hardly ever needed. So you will not lose any functionality by turning them off but only gain security.
Make Previewing Mail More Secure in IncrediMail
Steps to make previewing mail more secure in IncrediMail:
- Select Tools | Options... from the menu.
- Go to the Security tab.
- Make sure Disable scripts and iFrames when loading messages is checked.
- Click OK.
These steps can be followed for IncrediMail installed in Windows XP, 2000, 98 etc
