How to set up Auto reply: Eudora

 

              When you know you are going to be out of the town for a few days, you can set up the autoresponder to reply automatically, letting people know that you are enjoying your vacation while they are sending you emails. You can read and reply to all mail when you're back from the vacation


           If you have a permanent connection and don't turn off your computer while away from home, Eudora can send these vacation auto-replies for you automatically and this article will walk you through the steps to set up a Vacation Auto-Reply in Eudora

Steps to create an auto responder ( auto-replies) in Eudora:
  •     Create a "message template" for the reply.
            ^ Mention all the necessary information and also that you will reply when you're back.
  •     Select "Tools" | "Filters" from the menu.
  •     Click the "New" button.
  •     Make the filter criteria read: "Match Incoming Header To:" contains <your email address>.
  •     Select "Reply with" from the "Action" drop-down menu.
  •     Choose the "template" for your auto-reply.
  •     Make sure the filter is at the top of your filters.
  •     Close the Filters window.
  •     Click "Yes"
 These steps can work for Eudora installed in Windows XP and Windows 7.
