How to backup filters: Eudora

 

                 Emails are often valuable, so we are sure you are backing up your Eudora files frequently and when you get a new computer, take your mailboxes with you to the new Eudora installation.

But what about the carefully crafted and balanced set of filters you have set up in Eudora? Organizing your Inbox automatically, they are priceless. There is a way to back up Your Eudora Email Filters and in this article we have given simple and easy steps to do the same.

Steps to create a backup copy of your Eudora email filters:

•     Go to your Eudora folder in Windows Explorer.

•     Select the Filters.pce file.

•     Press Ctrl-C to copy the file containing your filters.

•     Open the folder where you want to keep the backup (or temporary) copy of your Eudora mailbox files.

•     Press Ctrl-V to paste your Filters.pce file.

Of course, you can copy the Filters.pce file to the same directory you use for mailbox backups. No matter wherever you copied the file to, it's always easy to restore your Eudora filters from the backup. These steps can be used for Eudora installed in Windows XP and Windows 7.
