In Outlook Express, it is not possible to print a new message that you are currently composing. There simply is no Print command in the File menu. You can, however, work around this shortcoming in Outlook Express.

- Select "File" | "Save" from the menu in the message you are composing.
- Open the "Drafts" folder in Outlook Express.
- Highlight the message you just saved.
- Make sure the "preview pane" is "enabled".
- Select "View" | "Layout"... from the menu.
- Make sure Show preview pane is checked under "Preview Pane".
- Click "OK".
- Select "File" | "Print"... from the menu.
